Vern, a passionate psychologist, is committed to partnering with clients on their unique journeys towards emotional well-being and personal growth. He specialises in crafting personalised, one-on-one therapy plans, tailored precisely to each individual’s needs. REFERAL TYPES:
pRIVATE pSYCHOLOGY
A team-based approach including physicians, psychologists, physiotherapists, and exercise physiologists when needed. We have HICAPS on site for on the spot private health rebates. You may be entitled to claim for psychology sessions (if you are covered for psychological services). Please check with your insurer.
MEDICARE / CARE PLAN / BULK BILLING
We do not bulk bill psychology sessions, however we do accept valid Medicare referrals and care plans from your GP or psychiatrist that offer a partial rebate.
wORK cOVER / INSURANCE
If you have sustained a psychological injury related to a workplace accident, you may be eligible for psychological services covered by WorkCover Queensland. Additionally, if your accident occurred outside of work and you have relevant coverage, your Compulsory Third Party (CTP) or other accident insurance may cover mental health treatment for related psychological injuries. Please contact your insurer to confirm your eligibility and benefits.
DEARTMENT OF VETERAN AFFAIRS
Holders of a Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA) Gold card or White card are entitled to certain benefits, including free psychological treatment for mental health conditions. Some limits apply for White card holders (please contact DVA to check your entitlements). To claim DVA benefits, you will require a referral from your GP to your chosen psychologist, and presentation of your Gold or White card at your first appointment.
NDIS
Participants of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) may be eligible for funding to access psychological services. The specific funding available will depend on your individual NDIS plan and goals. Our experienced team can guide you through the process of accessing these services and help you understand your entitlements.

Joyce Koh
Joyce is a registered psychologist who is dedicated to optimising clients’ mental wellbeing, recovery, and performances. She uses a versatile and holistic therapeutic method that is evidence-informed and follows best practices. She adopts a client-centered, collaborative approach in her work, partnering with each client to provide personalised support for their unique journey and empower clients to achieve their health goals.Joyce previously worked a sport institute where she supported athletes and coaches not only in their sporting endeavours, but also in their mental health. She has experience providing isupport to clients presenting with mental health concerns such as anxiety, depression, grief and loss, acute trauma/stress, disordered eating, self-harm, and suicide ideation. Joyce works with clients aged 18 years old and above, and has provided support to clients from a range of cultural backgrounds.Outside of work, Joyce enjoys being active and tries to run, do some bushwalking, and go for yoga. During the netball season, you’d find her umpiring at the courts. She also likes learning about different cultures and makes it a point to visit museums when she travels overseas.
